Police Inspector Newcomen
Police Headquaters
London
20th April 1901
Dear Police Inspector Newcomen,
I am writing to you to inform you about the Mysterious Mr.Hyde, he has acted suspiciously over the past 2 Years. Unfortunately I’m accusing him of many different crimes such as: Framing Dr.Jekyll, Burglary, Blackmailing and Murder.
Framing anyone is mad enough, but framingg an high class business man is insane. He has been suspected to have broke into Dr. Jekyll ‘s home, and stole his walking tick, which an hour later became a murder wepon, which cut Sir Davens Carews life short. The murder took place on the 13th April, we have an eyewitness which is a servant girl from Dr.Jeklls house. It is a shame as Sir Davens Carew was such a loyal man. Would you like a murder to be walking around your town a night?
Hyde has also blackmailed Dr. Jekyll to pay him money. We know this because when we asked him for money for a terrible crime he commited, he came out with a cheque signed by Dr. Jekyll. Do you really want to pay this man 200 shillngs a month.
Since Mr. Hyde has been in town Dr . Jekyll has been acting rather percueliar, it is thought that he is trying to hide from Hyde because Hyde is blackmailing him.
So with your help we can take Hyde down. We can use your suplliances, my ideas, and your money to capture him and put him away for a couple of years, to teach him a lesson.
yours sincerely,
Mr. Utterson.
